posted Dec 16, 2012, 7:09 AM by Thomas Kagerer
As the year draws to a close, the season brings the custom of giving, family, love, hope and appreciation for what we have.  This is also the time to reflect on the heart-warming generosity we have received from each one of you.
We like to take this opportunity to thank you for your relentless support.  There has been many achievements made in 2012, some small to be noted but all the achievements combined have catapult Zanokhanyo to where it is today.

We would like to keep all the wonderful friends and supporters of Zanokhanyo updated as to what has happened in 2012 and to thank you for your continued kindness and support.

FOOD & ELECTRICITY
A big thank you to Simon Carruthers and his friends for donating money monthly to buy food.  Your unwavering support and commitment to the home has sustained the home for the past two years and your generosity is highly appreciated.  We wish you and your friends countless blessings.
Corporate Traveller, thank you very much for your monthly donation to buy food and electricity for the home and also for your visits to see the children.
Ray Van Der Scholtz from Old Mutual, thank you very much for the much needed groceries you donated to the home.

Anna and Harry Chilton for their donation towards educational costs, food and electricity.

FINANCES
A big thank you to Paul and Saleemah from L. Rubin and Company for his continued support to the home by providing their very professional and much needed accounting auditing services free of charge.
Their professional support with helping us manage our finances enables  Zanokhanyo to comply in accordance with the financial reporting standards.  We are eternally grateful for all the support they offer to the home.

EDUCATION
We would like to thank Mike Silver from Stretch as well as Tom’s friend from Europe for their generous donation towards the children’s education.  All the children attended school this year either in Khayelitsha, Woodstock, Mitchells Plain and Athlone.  Most of the children did very well this year. The funds raised paid for their transport, school fees, stationary, uniform and school outings.
A big thank you to Jesse Singleton and her friends in Monaco for taking part in a Charity Run to raise funds for Zanokhanyo.

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT
Teachout from UCT continued with their wonderful support coming through twice a week to help the children with after school and homework support.

CHILDREN’S ENTERTAINMENT AND OUTINGS
The children were treated to quite a few fantastic outings and parties at the home this year- Pick ‘ Pay’s Annual Easter Party and Annual, Charity Movie Day, MNET Idols finalist visit to the home, hiking and beach days. Operation Shoebox will be visiting the children next week Monday 17th December to brighten up their days with their Christmas Shoeboxes kindly donated this year by the Wynberg  Junior Rotary Club.
